Nicole Richie and other Hollywood A-listers turn green
And that is not of envy of course.
From being a fashion icon to charitable mom, Nicole Richie may have ‘gardener’ to add to her number of tags. Joining Hollywood A-listers like Lance Bass and Rosario Dawson among others, the mom to Harlow has pledged to help “raise awareness and support organic gardens at schools in the L.A. area” through the Environmental Media Association’s Young Hollywood Board.
“Organic gardens are so important, especially in urban areas where many students would otherwise never see any greenery,” former NSync member, Lance Bass told People in a recent interview. “I hope that the Environmental Media Association’s support will help them to grow and flourish in Los Angeles.”
As participants of this campaign, celebs like our Nicole will “each adopt a school, help plant a garden and check in on the students throughout the year”.
Proving more of Nicole’s good heart and care for others, Nicole just twitted, “Today is a day to help other moms who need it. Text CHILD to 90999 & help moms get there kids the medical attention they deserve.”
A philanthropist and now an environmentalist in between being a mother, a girlfriend, and a fashionista, okay we may scratch the fashionista, Nicole Richie sure is Bionic Woman. It does send me smile reading more and more of Nicole’s actions for a cause, I mean from being one of Hollywood’s bad girls, along with Paris Hilton, Linday Lohan and Mischa Barton, she’s now slowly building up a good image for herself. We must give credit to motherhood and Joel Madden for these changes.
