Joel Madden almost denied taking in BA flight due to tats
Nicole Richie’s boyfriend, Joel Madden was almost denied to take a BA flight from London to Lisbon yesterday (April 25).
And for what reason? – His tats.
Yup, turning to his Twitter to express how upset he was, the Good Charlotte rocker shared how a BA agent denied him to get into the plane unless he covers his tattoos.
Telling his fans about the discrimination he was going through, he writes: “Was just told by a british air person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts. Should I fight the power?” and continued updating with “I really actually am in shock he won’t let me on the plane till I put long sleeves on and other BA rep is disagreeing”.
But since Joel had traveled for quite some time and was already tired to argue, he twits again that he ended up covering his tats. He twitted, “yes i covered up to board the BA flight. I didn’t want to miss it. And honestly i was embarrassed (sic) all the people were staring and laughing!”
Yet even on his way to the Lisbon hotel, the rocker still can’t get over the situation as he updates, “its not in the rules that i can find.my tatts arent offensive.looking into it. i havent felt this small since the first time i asked nic out”.
Being the supportive girlfriend, Nicole also updated her Twitter expressing how upset she also was for Joel. She writes: “That’s the craziest story Ive ever heard. It’s sad there is still such discrimination in this world”.
Well even if I’m not Nicole or someone close to Joel, I still think it’s pathetic and lame to be discriminated. I also think Joel should file a complaint against that BA agent. That’s just stupid!
