Pregnant Nicole Richie has temporarily got rid of her pet cat - because the smell of the pampered puss makes her feel sick. The pet survived a 10-story fall from the socialite’s apartment last year (06), but baby comes first for The Simple Life star. Friends claim she has given her pet to dad Lionel Richie for safe keeping until she gives birth. A pal says, “She loves her cat but can’t stand to be around it right now.”

There have reports by some people that state that Richie’s baby bump has been up and down each week - and that she’s not really pregnant! It is alleged that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are having a baby boy. There is much speculation on this but for now no speculation, here is the full article.

It has been reported that Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden are having a baby boy. The couple are set to have their first child in December. Richie was spotted visiting the Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on July 25 where she reportedly found out the sex of the baby by ultrasound.

“Nicole wanted a girl,” a source revealed. “but she’s happy she’s having a boy. She’s having fun planning for the baby’s shopping, picking out names and designing a nursery.”

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are preparing for their new baby by buying tools to enhance the baby’s mind. She were spotted buying a prenatal education system by BabyPlus at Destination Maternity on Madison Avenue in NYC. When she saw it when walking by the store, she knew that she had to have it and in the meanwhile tried on several maternity clothes. She was asking many questions and was very cautious of what she was buying.

As to not mess up her now drug-free lifestyle, Nicole Richie has reportedly said that she would endure childbirth without painkillers. She has been drug-free since May for the reason of being a good role model for her child. She is very conscious of her baby and is extremely careful of what she puts in her body. If there is one vice that she says she still abuses, it would be diet soda- which is not recommended for pregnant women- but at least it’s not as bad as what she was abusing in the past. Nicole is due to give birth around the winter season, most likely in January.

Pregnant socialite Nicole Richie is said to be at a “high risk” of a miscarriage. Richie, who recently announced she was four months pregnant with ‘Good Charlotte’ rocker Joel Madden’s baby, was recently rushed to the hospital after she noticed some bleeding. Friends of the reality TV star say that she was very scared and thought she was going to miscarry. Doctors reassured her the baby was fine, but encouraged her to eat much more. They said Richie suffered from “nutritional deficiency.”

Experts say that her health makes her pregnancy risky. Troy Hailparn, an ob-gyn who hasn’t treated Richie, said: “She is absolutely at a greater danger of miscarrying than most women. Through some miracle, she managed to get pregnant and survive the first trimester, when most women with her history would suffer a miscarriage – but she’s not out of the woods yet.”

Pregnant reality TV star Nicole Richie was reportedly rushed to hospital recently, fearing she was suffering a miscarriage. She noticed bleeding and worried she would lose her baby at the end of last month, just after she and rocker boyfriend Joel Madden returned to Los Angeles from a tour with his band Good Charlotte. However, doctors quickly assured the four-months pregnant Richie her baby is safe, but did encourage her to eat more to feed the unborn child. An insider tells American magazine Star, “Nicole was bleeding so much, it was really scary for her. “They found out she’s suffering from both a hormonal and nutritional deficiency.”

The notoriously thin starlet claims that she eats every hour on the hour but has ruled out caffeine, sushi, drugs, and alcohol. She goes on to say,”It’s what my baby needs and to me, numbers don’t mean anything. If I gain 40 pounds, if I gain 50 pounds, then that’s obviously what my body needs to do. I’m totally OK with that,” “I eat all the time, especially now. I’m constantly hungry. I’m eating at least every hour,” she says. “And just like any mother, you want to take the best care of yourself, especially while you’re pregnant. I’m definitely eating healthier now.”

When asked the question of whether she had an eating disorder, she stated: “No, I do not have an eating disorder. I’ve never had an eating disorder, ever,” Richie said. “It’s anxiety, it’s stress, it’s just — it’s just not being careful.”

She plans on living a very healthy and respectable life, and to set a good example for young girls.
