Nicole Richie Watch

Hi guys! First I’d like to apologize for taking a while to update this blog. It has been a pretty tough period last month with a lot of issues being dealt with (it in fact has not yet been resolved until now). Hopefully things will go smoothly this month and keep the writing drive going.

Anyway, our star couple, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie was out last night to attend the Esprit Santa Monica Grand Opening celebration in Santa Monica, California.

The mom to Harlow kept it simple – which is actually unlikely of her – wearing a faded denim jacket, simple black top matched with black capri pants and wrapped up with a white and green scarf. Joel on the other hand was cool and in style with his shades and his mix of formal-casual get up.

Known for their charitable hearts, the couple is aiming to raise money for charity. Thus, 100% of all that’s sold in the event will go to Richie Madden Children’s Foundation.

Joel Madden and his twin brother, Benji celebrated their 30th birthday last Wednesday (March 11). And to show her love for her partner and her daughter’s father on his special day, Nicole Richie throws a lavish birthday party for Joel on the terrace of the Sunset Tower hotel.

Nicole left 1 year old Harlow for the private affair that was attended by more than 35 friends who packed the tented terrace, which was closed off for the evening. The terrace—which has a stunning view of the Los Angeles lights—was presided over by discreet yet formidable security

A nearby diner of the event noted that the party had “a lot of laughing and even some speeches.” Adding, “Nicole and Joel were nestled in the center of the big group and they looked as happy as they could be to be celebrating with their friends. They were beaming in the soft terrace lighting.”

Now isn’t that so sweet of Nicole?

Okay, I have nothing against Nicole Richie going to parties; in fact I would really love to see more and more of Nicole in the party scene otherwise I wouldn’t have anything to write here anymore.

It’s just that when I saw her here partying at the Jenni Kayne and Andy Lecompte Salon Party in California last night I couldn’t help but remember Joel Madden’s recent interview with E!. Joel there mentioned that his partner, Nicole is “a mom; she’s not really interested in going to any parties. She occasionally goes to parties.”

So I guess this here is just one of those occasional parties that Nicole attends to. Well being a busy and doting mom to Harlow, I think Nicole deserves some party time for herself too, right?!
