For a fashion icon and mother-to-be (for the second time) like Nicole Richie, coming up with a maternity collection is something that fans have always anticipated.

Why even while still pregnant with her eldest daughter, Harlow Winter Kate, people have been encouraging our petite fashionista to come up with her own line exclusively for women who are on their way to motherhood.

Well guess what, the long wait is over – well almost.

Posting in her official website, Nicole wrote:

“A Pea in the Pod and I joined to create a capsule collection of maternity wear that will be available in stores this summer. Last weekend I shot some images for the campaign with one of my favorite photographers, James White .

I’m really excited for you all to see the new collection.”

That’s right! With her and Joel Madden’s second baby coming, Nicole Richie was still able to squeeze in from her already-tight schedule a time to create and launch an exclusive fashion line for mothers to be.

Why Nicole Richie’s maternity line is so special? Well it’s a given Nicole has a good taste for fashion with or without the pregnancy. With her unique, bold, and daring sense in dressing up, many moms-to-be out there would sure love to dress up like her. As a matter of fact, even those who are not pregnant are also curious what this mom to Harlow has to offer for the preggers.

So if you are one of those anticipating for Nicole’s launching of her maternity collection, go hit your nearest fashion stores this summer.

It has been one busy and fun week for the Madden family as they hit Miami last week not just to enjoy the sun but to do business as well.

Continuing her promotion endeavors, as she obviously would not be able to do it when she nears to her due date, Nicole Richie escorted by her boyfriend Joel Madden attended the launching of House of Harlow 1960 Jewelry Collection at Ida and Harry at Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida last Wednesday (May 6).

Clad in a vintage turquoise floor-length silk maxi dress with her hair in sexy curls, the mom to Harlow was all smiles as she meet and greet her fans in Florida. Given Nicole’s uber busy schedule promoting her fashion line – she just flew to Canada last April for this – isn’t it amazing how our super mom managed to still look this good and refreshed?

As its press release has described Nicole’s fashion accessory line, “The collection is targeted at girls in their teens to women in their 30s who admire her and the prices range from $30 to $150. Mouawad is aiming to put Richie’s pieces, which feature fabric, leather, silk strings, chains, rivets, feathers and gold-plated metals.”

Meanwhile, aside from promoting her accessory collection, Nicole has also been busy planning for the launching of her fashion and maternity line, something that everybody has been looking forward to.

Well not exactly. However, reading into her recent post on her official website, it sounds like Nicole Richie is singing in tune to Will Smith’s song, Miami.

Yep. You read that right. The mom to Harlow has just announced her visit to Miami but not to just to enjoy the fun and the sun. Nicole’s visit would be more on promoting her fashion accessory line, House of Harlow 1960.

Nicole Richie has been out and about in Canada to promote her fashion accessories line, House of Harlow 1960. And while there, the mom to Harlow did not just posed with the papz and greeted her fans; she also spent her time there to chitchat with the Canadian media.

Smiling sweetly in one of the private shopping suites at Holt Renfrew’s Bloor St. flagship store, Nicole gamely shared her thoughts about her products to the press.

Aside from being a doting mother to Harlow and loving girlfriend to Joel Madden, Nicole Richie is also a busy businesswoman as well.

Yup, despite her pregnancy, the petite fashionista was still in for business as she flies to Toronto, Canada to attend the Launch Party of House of Harlow 1960 at Holt Renfrew yesterday (April 21).

Clad in a hippie-chic black and gold sweater dress with black stockings and black heels, the former reality show star showed no sign of stress as she mingled with fans and posed for the paparazzi.

In her interview with PopSugar last March, Nicole shred about her inspiration for the jewelry pieces saying, “I’m really inspired by the 60s and 70s. I have a pretty big collection of vintage jewelry so this particular collection was based off of that.”

Despite the growing bump, Nicole Richie still finds the energy and will do still do business.

Updating her blog from her official website, the mom-to-be for the second time shares about her trip to Toronto Canada to promote her line of fashion accessories, House of Harlow 1960 for one whole day.

Hi, I’m on my way to Toronto today for a meeting with Holt Renfew. They are huge supporters of House of Harlow and I am a huge fan of their stores. I’ll only be there for about 24 hours. Anything fun to do during the day?
Then I head to Montreal to meet with my new partners to start work on my line. I’m so excited to start this new project!! This has always been a dream of mine and it’s finally coming true

Now that is what I call hardworking!

I wonder when Nicole’s fashion line would be available in Asia… I’m quite sure a lot of us Asians would love to have any of those trendy, funky, and unique fashion accessories that Nicole has. And while she’s at it - and with her condition right now - why not try to expand in maternity fashion line? Oh well, being very much pregnant, I don’t think can still handle expanding her fashion line for now.

Known to be one of this generation’s biggest fashion icons, Nicole Richie is reported to be launching her own shoe collection, too.

Yup. After the success of her jewelry collection named, House of Harlow 1960, which was debuted late last year, the mother to Harlow and Joel Madden’s girlfriend is said to be launching her shoe collection in Spring next year.

In partnership with Modern Vintage shoes and Earnest Sewn jeans, Nicole’s shoe collection will showcase the former Simple Life star’s own designs.

“Nicole is designing everything herself. She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her,” said Rick Cytrynbaum, co-owner of the labels.

Now with Nicole’s funky and unique style, it sure is exciting to look forward to her own fashion collection.

Still on her works promoting her line of accessories, House of Harlow 1960, pregnant mom, Nicole Richie talks to PopSugar about her designs and plans for the future.

Here’s what they’ve talked about:

Question: How did your jewelry line all come together?
Nicole: I had the idea to do the line about two years ago and it took that long for everything to really come together. I met Pascal [Mouawad] and he’s such a genius. I really respected him so I knew 100% that that’s who I wanted to partner up with and I’m really happy that I did.

Q: You had a baby in that time, how do you find the time to do all this?
N: I think there’s 24 hours in a day, and if you schedule it right it just all works out.

Q: Can you talk a bit about your inspiration behind House of Harlow?
N: I’m really inspired by the 60s and 70s. I have a pretty big collection of vintage jewelry so this particular collection was based off of that.

Q: You talked a bit about that collection of jewels and pieces from your family in InStyle last Fall. Are there any particular pieces you’re excited to pass down to your children?
N: Definitely! I would be honored to. My mom has passed down so many great pieces to me so that would be really great.

Q: Do you have any favorite pieces in the line?
N: The headpieces are definitely my favorite.

Q: Are there any plans to expand House of Harlow?
N: Yes! I just partnered up with a company and we’re going to be expanding House of Harlow. We’re going to be doing sunglasses, belts, bags, clothing… so I’m very, very excited.

Q: When is that coming?
N: Well probably the first thing will be out next year. We’re going full steam with it.

Q: Any plans to design for your charity at all?
N: Definitely! When the right opportunity comes along yes. I love helping people.

Ready to meet and greet her fans to promote her jewelry line called, House of Harlow 1960, Nicole Richie was beaming as she arrives the Kitson Melrose store in Los Angeles yesterday (March 7).

Channeling a Greek goddess look, in a long cream dress, tan gladiator style sandals and wearing all her own House of Harlow 1960 jewellery, from head band, to rings, necklace and tons of bangles, the pregnant fashionista was in a great mood, laughing, joking and signing autographs for a couple hours.

I must say Nicole has just got me speechless with her look; really breathtaking that I can’t take my eyes off it. The white maxi dress was a smart choice to don with her condition now; it of course made way for her accessories to be in the limelight.

This ain’t Celebrity Fashion Watch but I love it love it love it!
