Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted in SoHo after having lunch at The Kitchen at the Mercer Hotel earlier today. And Reality TV fans may recognize the girls behind them as well! Nicole and Joel expect their first child this winter- they are going to ‘try’ not to find out the sex.

Any rumors that Hillary Duff has been causing trouble can be put to rest. After Richie’s interview with Diane Sawyer, Duff sent Madden a text message congratulating the two on their pregnancy. That’s the word from Us Weekly, which says the starlet, 19, sent a text to her self-described “first love” after his impending fatherhood with Nicole Richie was confirmed during their recent interview with Diane Sawyer. “After they appeared on ‘Good Morning America,’ Hilary breezily texted Joel congratulations on the pregnancy, and Joel warmly responded,” an adverb-happy mole tells the mag. It’s good that Hillary got past her jealousy and showed some vast maturity- good job Hillary!

I was watching some E! and i caught the back half of this commercial. I quickly found it on YouTube and decided to post it for your viewing pleasure. Normally, these commercials get deleted by E! as it is a violation of Terms of Service so hopefully it stays up for longer than expected.

I have seen tabloid after tabloid with the same Nicole-infested header (in section b-3, of course) “Nicole and Joel Breakup!” I haven’t talked about said issue because I haven’t been convinced that they have. After closer inspection and after reading and observing numerous gossip sites I have come to the conclusion that they haven’t broken up, but my prediction is that they will be very shortly.
