Aside from her cool and unique taste in fashion, Nicole Richie is also known for her funky and some girly tattoos. But other than Nicole, there are other female celebrities in Hollywood who stands out with their tattoos.

Today in Nicole Richie Watch, let’s all check out these babes and their cool tattoos.

Megan Fox

Fierce look and fierce body; that’s not just what Megan Fox has. Aside from her overflowing sex appeal, Megan’s also known for owning more than seven tattoos. This Marily Monroe in her right arm is one of her most famous inks.

Rihanna

Aside from that great voice and edgy fashion sense, Rihanna’s pattern of stars on the back of her neck has also been one of the singer’s “hey look at me” weapon. Love this tattoos; not so loud but definitely a head-turner.

Jessica Alba

Adding to her sex appeal, this Sanskrit character for lotus flower on her wrist is just one of Jessica’s several tattoos including a flower and a ladybug on the back of her neck and a bow tattoo on the small of her back.

Rumer Willis

Proving that it’s great to be young and hot in Hollywood, Rumer Willis shows off a tattoo down her left side.

Ashlee Simpson

Nicole’s new BFF, Ashlee Simpson, too sports this huge rose tattoo on her inner wrist showing off her cool young mom side.

Angelina Jolie

And of course, what celebrity tattoo list would be complete without Angelina Jolie? It’s actually like her tattoos are as famous as she is.

Whew! Looking at these stars and their inks, gives me one thought: stars + tattoos = SEXY!

As you all know, Nicole Richie is one gal who loves to get inked. Next to Angelina Jolie, Nicole has got herself several tattoos – more or less 10 – to add spice in her already-interesting life and personality. But of the several tattoos that Nicole has right now, one actually charmed me the most. – The angel wings on her back.

I’ve searched through the net for some information and trivia about the two wings on her back. Unfortunately, nothing really gave me something that’s relevant and factual about the cute tattoos other than the one that said these wings were to portray Nicole’s “good Christian girl” image, opposite to the bad girl image she had. However, I doubt if this one’s entirely true as angel wings aren’t entirely Christian, right?

The wings are three or four inches in length and appear to be colored in orange or faded red. Some claim that these shades are of “Indian Summer” colors.

But while I am having a hard time elaborating on Nicole Richie’s tattoos, isn’t it enough that it’s charming and quite an eye-catcher?

Arriving at the MTV Australia Video Music Awards 2007, isn’t it obvious how our petite fashionista loves to show off those wings?

Aside from adding spice to Nicole’s personality, the angel wings tattoo is also one good addition of Nic’s fashion statement. Here we see her posing for the press at the AE Jeans Will Rock You Campaign.

And yes, more than a fashion statement, the tattoos gave Nicole her identity.

Well it has been relatively quiet with the Richie-Maddens so I thought of going a little back track by giving you some unforgettable quotes from our petite fashionista, Nicole Richie.

Don’t these quotes show a little bit of Nicole’s various personalities? This is one of those things I love about Nicole, she’s just honest and a no-pretence.

Rosary on her Ankle and Foot

The rosary beads encircling her ankle with the Christian cross seen going over the top of her foot would probably one of the most famous tattoos of Nicole.

Does this affirm Nicole’s religious background? Could be, but I personally believe it really has nothing to do with religion. Maybe more on fashion…

Angel Wings on her Back

Charming rebel.

Looking at the angel wings on her shoulder blades, one couldn’t help but be charmed on this particular tattoo. I myself would have to have one. But with it on Nicole we couldn’t help but really think of Nicole’s rebellious side.

“Richie” and a Ribbon on her Neck

On the back of her neck, Nicole had her last name “Richie” tattooed on it in an old English font. Above it is a red bow and ribbon tattooed to probably profess she herself is a present.

“Virgin”

No, that wasn’t to mean her ‘virgin’ days, but the tattoo on her left wrist probably refers to Nicole’s zodiac sign, Virgo.

Ballerina Slippers

Commemorating the song that her dad, Lionel Richie wrote for her when she was little, Nicole tattooed her abdomen with ballerina slippers.

Birthday girl Nicole Richie and fiancee Joel Madden were in Hawaii to celebrate her 26th b-day yesterday. She looks very healthy and seems to be enjoying life now. In honor of this joyous day, I will also post her full biography plus a picture from her special day:

Nicole Camille Escovedo was born in Berkeley, California, on September 21, 1981. Her biological parents were Peter Michael Escovedo, a member of Lionel Richie’s band and brother to ’80s pop percussionist Sheila E., and an anonymous backstage assistant.
